Today, I want to share a recommendation I found in a book called Lion and Lamb: Jesus’ Relentless Tenderness – Brennan Manning. This author is a great friend. He always takes me deeper in a new way. These are not hard to comprehend or read, but they are phrases and deep reflections.
It all happened because I was reading Revelation this week and came across a passage that caught me attention. I will paraphrase it. John is told by one of the elders that the victorious Lion has conquered (Revelation 5: 5). John then turns around and sees a lamb. These two realities coexist. As true as what we believe and hear, it seems.
Jesus is the victorious Lion. However, when we meet him face-to-face, it is impossible to separate him from Cordero’s image. Do not? This book is. This book was a treasure trove of reflections. Every chapter is a revelation of God’s love. You will have questions to ask him or to work with you in groups. He speaks a different language and is sensitive to everything.
It is a book I highly recommend. It is an excellent book that will give you insight into the life of a woman.
